IPMB Wallet Service Update and Continued Access
IPMB is providing this update regarding the status of the IPMB Wallet app and the continued access and management of digital assets within the IPMB ecosystem.
IPMB Wallet Service Status
The IPMB Wallet was introduced as a dedicated self-custody wallet interface through which users could access and interact with digital assets within the IPMB ecosystem.
During 2025, IPMB made the decision to transition away from the dedicated IPMB Wallet and began preparing users to move to compatible standards-based self-custody wallet solutions.
This decision followed persistent technical and support issues affecting the reliability and functionality of the underlying third-party wallet technology.
As part of this transition, users were advised to ensure that they retained secure access to their wallet recovery credentials and to transition to a compatible self-custody wallet (e.g., NoOne or MetaMask).
IPMB no longer actively supports or maintains the IPMB Wallet app.
Your Assets Remain On-Chain
Importantly, the discontinuation of the IPMB Wallet application does not affect ownership of users’ digital assets.
Digital assets are recorded on the blockchain and remain associated with the user’s blockchain wallet address. The IPMB Wallet application provided an interface through which users accessed that wallet; discontinuation of the application does not remove, cancel or otherwise alter assets recorded on-chain.
Users who retain control of their wallet credentials, including their Secret Recovery Phrase or private keys, retain control of the corresponding blockchain wallet and its assets.
Continued Access Through the IPMB Console
As part of this transition, IPMB has updated the IPMB Console and its WalletConnect integration to support multiple compatible third-party wallets.
Users can therefore continue accessing and interacting with supported functionality within the IPMB ecosystem through:
using compatible self-custody wallets.
This approach removes reliance on a single dedicated wallet application and allows users to select from compatible third-party wallet solutions supported through WalletConnect.
Transition to a Compatible Wallet
Users who previously accessed their blockchain wallet through the IPMB Wallet should transition to a compatible standards-based self-custody wallet. IPMB recommends compatible wallets e.g., NoOne, or MetaMask.
Users who retain access to the Secret Recovery Phrase / seed phrase associated with their existing wallet may import that wallet into a compatible wallet e.g., MetaMask.
Importing the same Secret Recovery Phrase into e.g., NoOne, or MetaMask does not move or transfer the user’s assets. The assets remain at the same blockchain address. MetaMask simply provides another interface through which the user can access and control that same wallet.

Important Security Information
Your Secret Recovery Phrase or mnemonic phrase provides control over your blockchain wallet and its assets.
Users should:
- securely back up their Secret Recovery Phrase before transitioning to another wallet;
- only install wallet applications from their official websites or authorised application stores;
- never provide their Secret Recovery Phrase or private keys to IPMB, wallet support personnel, or any other third party;
- never enter their Secret Recovery Phrase into an email, support ticket, website form or messaging application; and
- carefully verify that they are using a genuine wallet application before entering recovery credentials.
IPMB will never request a user’s Secret Recovery Phrase or private keys.
Users who no longer have access to their Secret Recovery Phrase may contact IPMB Support for general guidance regarding available options. IPMB cannot recover a lost Secret Recovery Phrase or private key.
Going Forward
The discontinuation of the dedicated IPMB Wallet application represents a change in the wallet interface used to access the ecosystem, not a change to the underlying blockchain assets held by users.
By expanding WalletConnect support within the IPMB Console, users can continue interacting with supported IPMB services through established third-party self-custody wallets without being dependent on a single wallet application.
IPMB remains committed to maintaining appropriate access to its ecosystem, communicating material service changes transparently, and supporting users through this transition.
No action is required from users who are already accessing their assets through another compatible wallet.
Further platform and service updates will continue to be communicated through the official IPMB website.
